The Joint Commission recently released "Advancing Effective Communication, Cultural Competence, and Patient- and Family-Centered Care: A Roadmap for Hospitals", which details their new and revised standards for Patient-Centered Communication. Beginning January 2011, Joint Commission surveyors will evaluate hospitals’ compliance with the Patient-Centered Communication, but findings will affect the accreditation decision no earlier than January 2012.

To clarify these standards and understand how they will affect your hospital or healthcare organization, CyraCom hosted a webinar featuring Dr. Christina Cordero from The Joint Commission and Jonathan Levy, M.A. from CyraCom.
