CyraCom’s employee interpreters work in the most extensive network of large-scale interpreter contact centers: all HIPAA-compliant and located in the continental US. Most other providers primarily use at-home or offshore interpreters.

CyraCom’s interpreters receive 120 hours of initial, in-person training in the centers – three times longer than is typical in the language service industry. In training, interpreters learn medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and other topics essential for healthcare interpreting.  Upon completion of training and testing, they become certified interpreters.

The Company’s dedicated onboarding staff ensure a seamless transition to CyraCom from other language service companies: managing training, IT, and other requirements for hundreds of new clients annually. History

CyraCom has been a leader and innovator in language services for 20 years. It started small in 1995 with a dual-handset telephone patent: a technology that encouraged face-to-face communication while using a remote interpreter. In 2008, Jeremy Woan joined the company. By 2009, Jeremy – in stark contrast to trends in the Phone Interpretation industry at the time – led CyraCom to open the first of many interpreter contact centers in the US. In an industry that continues to predominantly use at-home and offshore interpreters, the centers have made an impact – the Company’s revenue has quintupled since Jeremy joined.

    CyraCom International originally began in 1995 when our organization patented a dual-handset telephone, a technology that encouraged face-to-face communication while using a remote interpreter. Dual-handset phones are now used by thousands of organizations in the US and abroad, and access methods for remote interpretation have expanded to include any phone, mobile device apps, and web portals.

    CyraCom opens the Tucson Contact Center – the first of many interpreter contact centers in the US. CyraCom is the first Over-the-Phone Interpretation company in the US to receive ISO 9001:2008 certification. CyraCom is also exclusively endorsed by the American Hospital Association for our interpretation and translation solutions.
