Meet your Baltimore Roundtable keynote speaker:
Sarah Hesler
Language Services Director, University of Kentucky – UK HealthCare
Sarah Hesler is the Director of Language Services for University of Kentucky HealthCare. Her healthcare career began over 15 years ago, and she served as a board member for the South Eastern Medical Interpreter Association for nearly ten years. She completed her graduate and undergraduate studies at the Universidad Santo Tomas de Aquino in 2002 and then worked as the Coordinator for Burford Language Center in Santiago, Chile. Sarah returned to the U.S. and settled in Lexington, KY, in 2005. Before joining UK Healthcare in 2012, she was the Coordinator for Outreach Services at Eastern Kentucky University’s Bluegrass Community Health Center. Sarah is a National Board Certified Medical Interpreter for Spanish. She is looking forward to sharing her story, insights into VRI integration, and lessons learned throughout her years in the language services industry.
